We currently have an exciting opportunity with one of our clients, a well-established and innovative refrigeration specialist based in Bedford. Operating across the UK, they design and build bespoke refrigeration systems and components, offering end-to-end solutions from concept through to installation. With a strong reputation for technical precision and reliability, they are looking for a Refrigeration Engineer to add to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Refrigeration Engineer to join a growing company. This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on servicing, fault-finding and repairing a range of refrigeration systems while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities for a Refrigeration Engineer:
- Diagnose, fault-find and repair refrigeration systems and associated electrical equipment
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with service schedules
- Troubleshoot electrical faults including control circuits, sensors and wiring systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and system diagrams
- Complete accurate electronic job sheets and service reports
- Liaise with internal teams to support quotations and remedial works
- Advise customers on system operation and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support with technical queries and provide fault-finding guidance internally
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (1-in-6)
- Ensure all work is completed in line with F-Gas regulations and Health & Safety procedures
Key skills for a Refrigeration Engineer:
- F-Gas qualified
- Full UK driving license
- Previous experience within refrigeration service and breakdown engineering
- Strong refrigeration fault-finding and maintenance experience
- Good practical knowledge of electrical systems and controls
- Ability to diagnose faults across control panels, wiring, sensors and interfaces
- Confident reading electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Experience working with three-phase systems and low-voltage controls
