Our client, a growing construction and electrical contracting business based in Bedford, delivers projects across building, engineering, fit-out and electrical services. They are now seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead compliance, governance and performance across the organisation. This is a hands-on leadership role within an SME environment, working closely with senior management to drive a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across multiple UK sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and developing the company’s Health & Safety Management System.
- Ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and all relevant H&S legislation.
- Managing the corporate risk register and overseeing audits and inspections.
- Producing KPI dashboards and performance reports for senior leadership.
- Leading incident investigations and implementing preventative actions.
- Supporting project teams with RAMS, CPPs and subcontractor compliance.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 5 years experience in construction or electrical contracting.
- NEBOSH General and Construction Certificate (essential).
- Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and risk management.
- Confident communicator, able to influence at all levels.
- Commercially aware and solutions-focused.
