Our client, a well-established and growing business based in Dunstable, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and lead a busy team within a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing warehouse efficiency, maintaining high health and safety standards, and supporting the continued development and automation of warehouse processes.
Key Responsibilities for a Warehouse Manager:
- Managing and leading a team of 6 permanent warehouse staff and up to 30 temporary workers during peak periods
- Overseeing daily warehouse operations including goods in, dispatch, and stock control
- Driving improvements in warehouse processes, including introducing greater automation and efficiencies
- Ensuring high standards of health & safety are maintained across the warehouse
- Monitoring productivity and performance across the team
- Coordinating staffing levels to meet operational demand
- Working closely with senior management to support operational improvements
Key Skills for a Warehouse Manager:
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Manager or similar leadership role
- Experience managing both permanent and temporary warehouse teams
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and stock management
- Health & safety aware with the ability to maintain a safe working environment
