Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 + Benefits

Shift: 3pm – 11pm

The Opportunity

Mixxos are supporting a leading operational business in the search for a Distribution Manager to join their warehouse leadership team. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll be responsible for driving performance, coaching colleagues and ensuring operational targets are consistently achieved within a fast-paced distribution environment. You'll lead from the front, working closely with your team to maintain service levels, improve productivity and create a culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership
    • Lead daily warehouse and distribution activities.
    • Allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands.
    • Drive productivity, quality and service performance.
    • Support operational planning and workload management.
    • Act as a key point of contact during management absence.
  • Team Management
    • Coach, develop and motivate warehouse colleagues.
    • Support onboarding and training of new starters.
    • Conduct return-to-work discussions and performance conversations.
    • Foster a positive, engaged and accountable team culture.
  • Performance Management
    • Monitor operational KPIs and turnaround times.
    • Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
    • Maintain high standards of accuracy and customer service.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows.
    • Support operational improvement initiatives.
    • Drive consistency across procedures and working practices.
    • Promote best practice throughout the operation.
  • Health & Safety
    • Champion a safe working environment.
    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures.
    • Maintain high housekeeping standards.
    • Investigate and report incidents, hazards and near misses.

About You

Essential

  • Experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
  • Previous team leadership, management or team leader experience.
  • Strong understanding of receiving, picking, packing and dispatch operations.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
