Purpose & Scope of the Role
You will deliver mechanical and electrical asset surveys across client sites, recording condition, specifications and lifecycle data using digital survey tools. Tasks include surveying HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, lifts and plumbing; producing clear assessment reports and recommendations; maintaining asset registers; and supporting lifecycle and replacement planning. You will collaborate with engineering, facilities and compliance teams, contribute to budget forecasting, and support project delivery under senior guidance.
Your Impact in this Position
Your accurate surveys and pragmatic recommendations will reduce risk, optimize maintenance spend and inform capital planning. By combining technical judgment with data analysis (including Power BI), you’ll improve asset visibility and help clients make evidence‑based decisions. You will also mentor junior staff and represent Tetra Tech’s commitment to quality and client service on site.

- M&E Technical Surveying: Inspect and assess plant and systems (HVAC, electrical, fire, lifts, plumbing) to recognised standards.
- Digital Asset Data & Analysis: Capture data via digital tools, maintain asset registers and use Power BI and analytics to inform lifecycle planning.
- Reporting & Compliance: Produce concise, compliant survey reports with prioritized recommendations and cost‑aware actions.
- Project Support & Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with facilities, engineering and client teams to validate data, support delivery and forecast budgets.
- Leadership & Professional Development: Supervise junior staff, take initiative on tasks and develop technical and commercial competence.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
Practical M&E/building services experience; asset management or FM background preferred. Experience with digital survey tools, asset software and Power BI desirable. Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards. Valid driving licence. DBS/SC checks and overseas travel eligibility required.
Working Environment
London‑based role with regular UK travel and some international assignments. Hybrid working supported; expect a mix of site, home and office days to meet project needs. Flexible working options available.
