Business development Manager– Construction Sector £2,000 Retainer + Car Allowance + High Commission | Exclusive UK Territory

Mixamate manufactures £280,000 all-in-one concrete batching, mixing and pumping units — designed to give contractors greater programme control, improved margins and independence from traditional ready-mix supply. We are appointing a field-based capital equipment sales professional to develop the UK market and secure early traction. This is not a materials sales role. This is not internal account management. This is a high-value machinery appointment.

Required Background (Essential)
  • Currently active or recently active within the construction plant or capital equipment sector
  • 10+ years selling construction plant or heavy equipment
  • Proven track record closing £100k+ machinery deals
  • Experience negotiating full capital equipment contracts (not aftermarket/service only)
  • Direct contractor relationships within groundworks, civil engineering, utilities, housebuilding or plant hire
  • Confident conducting site-based demonstrations
  • Comfortable managing 3–9 month sales cycles

Applications without direct capital equipment sales experience will not be progressed.

The Role
  • Identify and secure early adopter customers
  • Conduct on-site demonstrations and commercial evaluations
  • Negotiate and close £280k machinery sales
  • Build and manage a structured UK sales pipeline
  • Develop repeat contractor relationships
  • Target: First unit secured within 6 months.
Compensation
  • £2,000 per month consultancy retainer (6-month initial term)
  • Car allowance
  • 4% commission per unit
  • 5% once 3+ units sold annually
  • No earnings cap
  • Each sale generates £11,200–£14,000 commission.

Exclusive UK territory, with potential European expansion based on performance. This opportunity suits a commercially confident plant sales operator seeking autonomy, upside and the chance to build a defined market rather than maintain an existing one. Confidential discussions welcomed.
