This is an exciting new role for a driven, new business hunter to join an employee-centric telecommunications company based just off the M5 in Bristol. We are a small, but innovative company with exciting growth plans, and we are now looking to expand our sales team by recruiting additional field-based Business Development Managers to cover our territory across the South West.

The successful Business Development Manager will:

  1. Be a new business hunter with a proven track record of creating new opportunities.
  2. Have sales experience within the telecoms industry and understand mobile, connectivity, and unified communications.
  3. Be driven and self-motivated.
  4. Have experience and a proven track record of achieving/exceeding targets.
  5. Be skilled at networking with decision-makers on social media, primarily LinkedIn.
  6. Be adept at asking open, discovery questions to gather relevant information and create opportunities.
  7. Be comfortable self-generating leads.
  8. Be IT literate and proficient in using a CRM system.

Location: The successful candidate will cover a territory near their base, primarily in the South West around Bristol, Bath, Gloucester, and Cheltenham. They will have an office presence as needed for sales meetings, training, etc.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm.

Commission: Based on gross profit, which will be 20% of the basic salary. For example, if the basic salary is £40,000 per year, then the gross profit monthly target will be £8,000. The successful candidate will receive 20% commission on £8,000, equating to £1,600 per month, with an OTE of approximately £59,200. Candidates need to achieve this gross profit before earning commission, which is paid as 20% of the gross profit thereafter, over a 10-month period, in monthly installments, paid as soon as the customer is connected.

Targets/KPIs: The successful candidate will define their own targets/KPIs based on their objectives.
