As a Tax Manager you’ll be fully immersed with our experienced Tax Advisory team to provide great advice to clients. Life will be fast paced, engaging, creative and rewarding. Whether you are located around Manchester or close to one of our other offices across the Group, it’s a great opportunity for an ambitious person to challenge themselves, develop and progress within a forward-thinking and fast-paced firm.
You’ll:
- Work closely with our Tax Directors and Senior Tax Managers, adding value to the exceptional work we deliver to a varied portfolio of our larger and more complex compliance clients.
- Deliver tax advisory work to business owners, including tax planning, advising on the acquisition and disposal of businesses, share schemes, employee ownership trusts, reorganisations, business incorporations and remuneration planning.
- Deal with HMRC enquiries and investigations, including reviewing junior members' advice, financial analysis and technical research.
- Provide a technical resource to our network of smaller accountants, whether this is by phone or email support service.
- Support with the management, training and development of junior team members.

Hungry for a new challenge, you’ll:
- Be based out of one of our offices across the group.
- Thrive in a collaborative and progressive environment.
- Love getting to know people and be a fantastic communicator.
- Be ACCA/ACCA/CTA qualified, with ideally at least 3 years PQE gained in Tax practice.
- Have solid experience of advising OMBs on a range of tax issues including corporation tax, income, and capital gains tax.
- Have some exposure to VAT issues would be an advantage, but it’s not a necessity.
- Have a proactive attitude, whether a task is complicated or simple, big or small.
- Be confident in working to achieve great things alongside the rest of the team.
