At Novuna Vehicle Solutions, we’re leading the way with Electric Vehicle Leasing and Fleet Management expertise. From installing home‑charging units for individual drivers to helping our commercial & specialist asset customers operate their fleets safely and efficiently.
What you'll do. You’ll lead a team of circa 8 Downtime Controllers who are responsible for proactively engaging with our garage network to ensure vehicle repairs are completed efficiently, cost‑effectively, and with minimal disruption to customers. You will also act as the technical escalation point for complex downtime and VOR cases, using your HGV or transport background to support accurate diagnosis and resolution of vehicle issues. Some of your key duties will include:
- Overseeing day to day operations within the team and driving performance to deliver excellent outcomes for our customers
- Acting as the technical escalation point for complex vehicle downtime and VOR issues
- Working closely with internal stakeholders, particularly within our wider Operations department, to ensure a collaborative "one team" approach
- Providing leadership and people management to your team, with a focus on communication, engagement and development
- Continuous improvement of our processes and ways of working, conducting root cause analysis to overcome problems
What you'll bring. You’ll ideally come from a transport, HGV, workshop, or fleet operations background, with strong technical understanding of vehicle maintenance and downtime management. You’ll be confident stepping into a role where your technical judgement will be relied upon daily. You’ll also be a strong team leader who drives engagement and performance within your team while maintaining a customer‑first approach. You're a great fit if you:
- Have strong technical knowledge within the HGV, transport, workshop, or fleet industry (highly beneficial)
- Understand VOR processes and can quickly diagnose likely causes of vehicle downtime
- Have great interpersonal and communication skills
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- CPC qualification is desirable but not essential
