What does the role involve? As Sales Manager for our Materials Handling and Access Platform division in the UK, you'll play a key role in driving growth by building and nurturing strong vendor relationships, while supporting Mitsubishi HC Capital UK's wider growth and diversification strategy. This is a hands-on role requiring a proven ability to both expand existing partnerships and generate new business opportunities. You'll be responsible for developing and enhancing vendor finance programmes, delivering tailored solutions that create sustainable, profitable growth across the UK and wider European markets.

Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation - including Business Development, Channel Finance, Credit, and Operations - you'll collaborate to design and implement effective financing solutions. You'll also engage with vendors, banking partners, and group companies to continuously evolve programme structures and ensure we remain competitive and aligned to market needs. A key part of the role involves identifying new market sectors, structuring commercially sound propositions, and building long-term relationships with senior stakeholders. Alongside this, you'll contribute to the success of the wider Materials Handling team, supporting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and ongoing capability development.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Developing new business opportunities within the Materials Handling sector, identifying and targeting high-potential markets to support growth
  • Identifying new market sectors we can enter, and developing tailored finance solutions to meet customer needs, including pricing and programme structure
  • Visiting prospective partners to position Mitsubishi HC Capital as a trusted finance provider and building strong pipelines for future business
  • Building and managing long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and introducers to drive sustainable growth
  • Structuring and negotiating asset finance transactions in line with credit and risk, and commercial parameters
  • Liaising with banking partners, vendors, and Group companies across the UK and Europe to continuously enhance and develop existing programmes
  • Working collaboratively as part of the Materials Handling team, supporting and developing capability while creating opportunities that contribute to overall business success
