Want to know a little about us? We're the European growth engine of Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC, delivering smart vendor finance solutions across five countries—and expanding fast. Our tailored asset finance programs help Mitsubishi group businesses and partners unlock opportunity and scale. Driven by entrepreneurial energy and collaborative teamwork, we thrive in a dynamic, rewarding environment.

What does the role involve? As our HR Business Partner, you'll provide hands-on, operational HR support to a business area of around 40 colleagues, spanning across the UK, Finland, Netherlands & Republic of Ireland. Working closely with senior leaders and managers to support in building the HR strategy, understanding their people, their challenges and what they need from HR. This is a strategic and hands-on operational HRBP role. You'll work across the HR generalist remit, providing pragmatic advice and support while also getting involved in projects and wider Group HR activity. You'll report to the HR Director initially, giving you the opportunity to embed yourself within the wider HR team, build strong relationships across the HR function and get under the skin of the area you'll support. Once established, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to wider HR projects and initiatives across the Group.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Providing hands-on, operational HR advice and guidance to managers, taking a pragmatic and commercially focused approach to people challenges.
  • Building trusted relationships with stakeholders, getting to know the business and its people and understanding what they need from HR.
  • Development of HR practices & governance across Finland, Netherlands & ROI.
  • Supporting organisational change, organisational design and employee engagement activity.
  • Working collaboratively with Senior leaders and managers across European Vendor Finance as well as colleagues across HR and contributing to wider Group HR projects and initiatives that support the needs of the business and the area you support.

What are we looking for? We're looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and making a practical difference. You'll build relationships naturally, take the time to understand different perspectives and be comfortable working with stakeholders who operate at pace. You’ll be pragmatic and commercially minded, with the confidence to provide appropriate challenge while remaining flexible in your approach. You’ll also be collaborative, knowing when to seek advice, involve colleagues with specialist expertise and work together to find the right solution for the business.

Also, we're looking for the following:

  • Strong HR generalist / HR Business Partner experience, ideally within a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Experience providing practical HR advice and support to managers, with a good understanding of the employee lifecycle and employment law.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively with different working styles.
  • A collaborative, pragmatic and adaptable approach.
  • Experience of working across European countries or with different employment practices desirable, alongside an interest or experience in L&D, Engagement & Talent.

What can we offer you? At Mitsubishi HC Capital UK we take our people promises seriously. If you join us, you'll have a chance to make a difference, opportunities to learn, and time to shine. In addition to a market-benchmarked salary and excellent bonus scheme, our offer to you includes:

  • Company car or cash alternative – with fantastic EV incentives.
  • Flexible hybrid working.
  • 25 days' holiday, plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell 5 days.
  • Full wellbeing package including BUPA, digital GP service, 24/7 employee assistance, plus wellbeing events throughout the year.

We are committed to ensuring our application process is inclusive and accessible to all candidates.
