About the role As a Credit Risk Manager at MUFG in London, you will be responsible for assessing fund financing transactions and managing complex credit portfolios.
The role involves collaborating with colleagues across multiple departments locally and internationally, engaging directly with clients during due diligence, shaping risk frameworks for new products, and presenting key transactions to senior management.
Responsibilities Assess and recommend appropriate ratings and credit limits for fund financing transactions by evaluating transaction structures and collateral packages.
Engage in active dialogue with trading, sales, and relationship manager counterparts to ensure risk appetite is clearly understood by all stakeholders.
Oversee the annual review process for existing credit limits and counterparties, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
Maintain oversight of the EMEA portfolio across MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities entities, ensuring accurate monitoring and reporting of exposures.
Organise comprehensive credit due diligence meetings with clients to gather critical information for informed decision‑making.
Support new product adoption by defining risk acceptance criteria, developing rating models, and establishing effective credit risk measurements.
Collaborate closely with Global Corporate Master’s degree or industry accreditation highly regarded.
Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex credit arguments clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated interest in developing new skills and a structured approach to problem‑solving within a collaborative setting.
Ability to operate calmly under pressure while prioritising tasks effectively according to business needs.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to support efficient analysis and reporting.
