Vice President Credit Manager for Securitisation at MUFG’s Structured Finance Credit Office (SFCO) EMEA office in London. Responsible for reviewing and recommending complex securitisation credit applications, monitoring portfolios, developing risk frameworks, and representing MUFG at regional and global forums.

Responsibilities

  • Review and recommend credit applications for securitisation transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Develop robust credit risk frameworks and risk appetite tools aligned with shareholder and regulatory expectations.
  • Communicate complex credit matters clearly in written reports and verbal presentations to senior management and junior staff.
  • Represent the credit division at internal forums and regional meetings, articulating insights on credit quality trends, portfolio performance, and regulatory developments.
  • Collaborate with global offices (Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, London) to maintain consistency in credit approvals for structured finance transactions.
  • Identify and manage potential conflicts between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc, escalating issues as required.
  • Maintain oversight responsibilities and supervise delegated tasks and direct reports as mandated by the functional mandate.
  • Adapt to evolving duties and comply with controls, compliance obligations, and management directives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as Vice President Credit Manager for Securitisation or equivalent senior credit role in financial institutions or corporate banking.
  • Deep knowledge of structured finance transactions across asset classes including auto & consumer credit, residential mortgage‑backed securities (RMBS), trade receivables, working capital, and other structured products.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred for advanced analytical capability.
  • Experience in investment banking (credit or front office), rating agencies, legal or accounting backgrounds considered advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building trust‑based relationships across diverse teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in numerical analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Calm under pressure, structured problem‑solving abilities, and a priority‑setting approach to tasks.
  • Willingness to learn new asset classes, jurisdictions, regulatory initiatives, and commitment to ongoing professional development.
