MUFG, a globally respected financial institution, is seeking an Assistant Vice President Operations Service Management to join their EMEA Operations team in London.

This role offers you the opportunity to play a pivotal part in shaping operational excellence across the region, supporting both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.

You will be at the heart of driving standardisation, centralisation, and optimisation initiatives that impact the entire EMEA network.

What you'll do

  • Create and maintain governance framework procedures with EMEA Branches by preparing monthly Performance Evaluation Meetings, monitoring KPIs/KRIs, maintaining Inter-Entity Agreements (IAAs), and escalating issues as needed.
  • Keep an accurate issue log using standardised tools and document minutes for Performance Evaluation Meetings to ensure transparency across all stakeholders.
  • Identify irregularities or inefficiencies in operation flows and work collaboratively with teams to standardise processes wherever possible.
  • Act as the primary contact for any concerns regarding services provided by EMEA Operations or outsourced/offshored parties, ensuring prompt resolution through empathetic communication.
  • Promote standardisation and centralisation initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvement and obtaining agreement from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement process improvements between EMEA offices by gathering materials, analysing current systems, designing future models, and creating execution plans with your line manager.
  • Perform tasks according to agreed plans within required timelines to contribute towards achieving overall project goals while managing progress, issues, risks, and providing timely status updates.
  • Support team members in delivering planned outputs by offering guidance and occasionally carrying out tasks yourself when necessary to foster communal success.
  • Contribute actively to global offshoring/outsourcing initiatives by supporting team members on specific project tasks and collaborating with MUFG’s captive centre in India (MGS) for effective management of offshored functions.
  • Maintain entity-neutral responsibilities for both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc by following regulatory requirements and escalating conflicts of interest appropriately.
