Global Corporate & Investment Banking ("GCIB") is the division responsible for managing the Bank's key international client relationships and main financing products (Syndication, Structured & Project Finance, Securitisation, Working Capital Solutions, ECA financing, etc.).

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: GCIB Change Management function provides definitive statement of good governance and business practice in the change and project management, and forms an integral part of the GCIB control infrastructure. The role is to oversee and drive effective change management practices across the EMEA GCIB portfolio to ensure that projects meet their success criteria. The successful candidate will need to support the Programme Manager in the development and delivery of a number of initiatives that have been developed or are to be developed as part of the Business strategy and their book of work. Cross-project synergies, dependencies and challenges need to be identified to ensure optimal delivery. The successful candidate will be part of the GCIB Change Management function, reporting to the Head of GCIB Change Management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full lifecycle project management for GCIB initiatives and supporting the GCIB Programme lead for project delivery.
- Manage implementation deliveries ensuring transparency of risks, issues and dependencies that are fully aligned to functional/business owners.
- Create and deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Facilitate analysis and interpret facts and figures to allow for streamlined decision making process.
- Collaboration with key functional or business stakeholders to achieve clear outcomes/deliverables in relation to the strategic and transformational book of work.
- Partner with key stakeholders across the 1st and 2nd LoD to ensure compliance with relevant firm policies and framework, understand external regulatory expectations and industry standards, where appropriate.
- Assist with running and managing steering committees, working groups (cross functional) and ensure accountability of actions against planned timelines.
- Submit project status reports to stakeholders, coordinate and provide updates to steering committees.
- Create and maintain project lifecycle documentation which includes business justification, feasibility study, business requirements, implementation strategy, closure packs, etc.
- Define Target Operating models across various functions and regions and their execution.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, such as coordinating cross-functional teams, prioritising competing tasks, and delivering complex initiatives within tight timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Strong investment banking experience or management consultancy within financial institutions.
- Solid project management experience (with a proven track record of delivery).
- Solid Business Analysis experience.
- Proven track record of Front Office change projects experience and developing framework models or their implementation.
- Governance across the three Lines of Defence and experience of defining frameworks and their implementation.
- Transformation delivery and change management – overall strategic and/or transformation led change and delivery experience.
- Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills enabling the candidate to interact effectively with stakeholders.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential:
- Strong understanding of the 1st Line of Defense framework.
- Strong understanding of the project lifecycle.
- Front to back understanding of IB Operating model with good Front Office/product knowledge.
- Experience in development of strategies and target operating models; implementation of strategic or transformation programs/projects.
- Experienced interaction of delivering front to back solutions with demonstrable knowledge/interactions with functional divisions e.g. Finance, Ops, Risk, Legal, Compliance.
- Direct experience in managing multiple functional stakeholders (senior level).
- Strong planning, budgeting and prioritization skills.
- Strong communications skills (up to senior management, across stakeholders and direct reports) and be able to present and challenge.
Education / Qualifications:
Degree level (min) or equivalent work experience. Programme/Project management or financial markets led accreditation (beneficial).
