What you'll do:
- Conduct thorough reviews of term sheets, credit applications (Ringi’s), and facility documentation to ensure all transactions are workable and processed efficiently without unnecessary delays.
- Create and maintain facilities and limits within TRAC, OVS, and other relevant databases to support accurate record-keeping and operational integrity.
- Review client drawdown requests meticulously to confirm that all transactions comply with approved facility terms and conditions.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for products related to both commodity and non-commodity trade finance as required by the business needs.
- Liaise daily with key stakeholders including clients, relationship managers, product managers, and operational units to facilitate seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Monitor exposures managed by the Trade Finance Middle Office on a daily basis to ensure they remain within approved limits and sub-limits as applicable.
- Prioritise inward communications based on subject matter importance with a strong emphasis on delivering excellent client service.
- Develop familiarity with individual processes and business flows for each client to enhance client experience and support onboarding of new team members.
- Offer technical and operational assistance to all stakeholders across EMEA including clients, Relationship Managers, branches, and operational units.
- Reconcile balances between the bank’s accounting system and exposure management tools regularly to maintain accurate records of exposure.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated experience working within a control function focused on trade finance operations within a major financial institution or similar environment.
- Proven ability to review complex financial documents such as term sheets, credit applications (Ringi’s), and facility agreements with high levels of accuracy.
- Strong skills in using collateral management systems (such as TRAC) alongside proficiency in maintaining databases like OVS for effective record-keeping.
- Excellent Excel skills enabling efficient data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation tasks essential for exposure monitoring.
- Minimum GSE (or equivalent) in core academic subjects; A Level (or equivalent) preferred; additional language skills would be advantageous.
- Exceptional communication abilities allowing you to liaise effectively with clients, relationship managers, product managers, branches, and operational units across EMEA.
- A proactive approach combined with the ability to operate with urgency when prioritising workload according to business needs.
- Structured thinking paired with logical problem-solving capabilities that enable you to address issues methodically while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
