Responsibilities
- Partner with HR, Culture Committee workstream leads and other key management stakeholders, with guidance from the Head of Internal Communications EMEA, to develop and execute a comprehensive, innovative and engaging communications programme to support EMEA Culture initiatives (e.g. Employee Survey, DEI targets, and build further appreciation of the employee experience).
- Translate complex business information into clear, engaging narratives for diverse employee audiences across EMEA.
- Partner with key stakeholders to deliver innovative communications aligned with MUFG’s values and Employee Value Proposition ambitions.
- Strengthen leadership visibility on Culture topics through planned communication campaigns, events and channels.
- Support senior leaders with talking points, internal announcements, and presentation materials.
- Create high‑quality content for channels including email, newsletters, intranet, videos, digital channels, EMEA‑wide town halls, and major employee updates.
- Build engagement by showcasing culture milestones, achievements and colleague stories.
- Maintain and enhance MUFG’s intranet and digital content, ensuring a consistent tone of voice and strong user experience around Culture content.
- Develop new, engaging content for the external MUFG website to enhance the promotion of MUFG’s Culture strategies and Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to prospective employees, clients, etc.
- Use analytics and feedback to measure communication effectiveness and support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with front office, HR and other functional teams for communications advisory and execution, in support of regional strategic priorities.
- Ensure key dates, reporting deadlines, events and achievements are effectively communicated.
- Ensure alignment with wider Corporate Communications and Brand strategies.
- Leverage and share content with global colleagues in support of strategic priorities.
- Provide communication advice and best practice guidance to stakeholders at all levels.
- Manage multiple communication projects simultaneously, ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Significant experience in internal or corporate communications within large, complex organisations (financial or professional services preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver communications that drive clarity, alignment, and engagement.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
- Experience creating communications that support behaviour change and employee engagement.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
- Comfortable engaging with and advising senior leaders; strong commercial awareness and diplomacy.
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills with outstanding attention to detail.
- Strategic yet hands‑on communicator who can balance vision with detailed execution.
