Overview
TIM is a strategic business pillar that provides operational efficiency, business analyst expertise and innovation. The Business Analyst Team sits within the TIM Pillar and serves as a Centre of Excellence ensuring consistent delivery and alignment with business priorities across Change the Bank programmes. The team supports change initiatives across MUFG Securities International and MUFG Bank EMEA in areas such as Risk, Finance, Front Office, Operations and Compliance.
Business Analysts are leading subject‑matter experts and trusted business partners in technology change, acting as bridges between business and technology. The team is organised into four pillars: Compliance, Legal & Operations; Cyber Risk; Front Office & Risk; Finance & Data. Individuals will be accountable for activities related to the Technology/Technology Innovation Management/ Business Analyst Team/ Cyber Risk BA Team.
Responsibilities
- Perform requirements gathering and compile formal Business Requirements and Functional Specification documents.
- Cover all aspects of Business Analyst engagement throughout the Project Development lifecycle:
- Formulate and present proposed solutions to business users, including illustrative calculations using production data.
- Formulate testing approaches and compile test plans and test cases.
- Perform system/integration testing and support business users during user acceptance testing.
- Compile and present test results.
- Complete project/work-stream status reports.
- Escalate issues and risks to project or line management.
- Support Project Managers and business partners through SME and problem‑solving skills, advising on appropriate TEC solutions and vendor relationships.
- Own risks, issues and dependencies across project work, ensuring proactive actions to avoid escalations.
- Provide MI/KPIs for the assigned BA pillar.

- Recruit, restructure and develop a high‑quality professional team.
- Ensure all staff are fully trained, receive annual performance reviews, and meet regulatory training requirements.
- Manage delegated responsibilities and regulatory obligations effectively.
Stakeholder Relationships
- Maintain and enhance good working relationships with stakeholders across the region and globally, sharing best practices and supporting the One MUFG strategy.
Performance and Duties
The role holder will be assessed by the employing entity’s performance framework, with duties reviewed and amended in consultation with the line manager or department head as necessary. The holder may perform duties for both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc on a neutral, entity‑independent basis, ensuring regulatory compliance and resolving any conflicts between the entities.
Experience
- Managing a team of senior technology professionals within a top‑tier bank or consultancy.
- Successfully delivering large‑scale projects, preferably with an international scope.
- Significant experience in Cyber Risk.
- Good knowledge of the Murex platform and trade booking/lifecycle.
- A strong delivery track record with ownership of initiatives.
- Confidence and gravitas to interact with senior managers.
- Business analysis experience within a top‑tier bank or consultancy.
- Comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle and proposal/scoping/testing documentation.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles.
- Product knowledge in Bonds, Derivatives, Credit, Securities Financing, FX and Loans and Deposits.
Business Knowledge
- Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks, including lifecycle management and access provisioning.
- Privileged Access Management (PAM) concepts, governance models, and audit evidence requirements.
- Core access control principles: least privilege, segregation of duties, role‑based access control.
- Integration of directory services, applications, and PAM solutions.
- Cyber risk and control frameworks including PRA, ECB, EBA, FCA.
- Operational IAM/PAM processes and exception handling.
- Zero‑trust principles and identity‑centric security.
Applications Knowledge
- RSA, ServiceNow, Cyber Ark.
Technical Knowledge
- Self‑service systems analysis, advanced Excel, and basic SQL skills.
