Responsibilities
- The Director will be responsible for managing regulatory change activities on an end‑to‑end basis, from regulatory monitoring and impact analysis through policy formulation, governance approval, and execution support.
- The role acts as a bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring regulatory requirements are translated into actionable and deliverable initiatives, and leading the monitoring and analysis of UK and European payments‑related regulatory and scheme changes.
- Drive regulatory impact assessments in collaboration with business, operations, IT, compliance, and risk functions.
- Support the formulation of regulatory response strategies and implementation roadmaps.
- Review and refine proposed response policies to ensure clarity, feasibility, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate and support internal governance and approval processes, including preparation of materials for committees and senior management.
- Support the initiation of regulatory‑driven system development and change projects, including defining scope, objectives, and high‑level plans.
- Provide oversight and guidance to project teams, including PMO‑style support, issue tracking, and dependency management.
- Escalate delivery risks and issues to senior management in a timely and structured manner.
- Act as a key contact point between the London team and global or regional stakeholders.
- Support the Payment Accountable Executive designated in London in fulfilling its regulatory and governance accountabilities, through analysis, documentation, stakeholder coordination, and execution support.
- As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and amended in consultation with the role holder.
- Carry out other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the role as requested by the line manager or Department Head.

Qualifications
- Strong experience in payments, transaction banking, or regulatory change management within a financial institution.
- Solid knowledge of EMEA payments regulations and industry practices.

- Experience in managing regulatory change initiatives and working with governance and approval processes.
- Proven ability to coordinate complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
