This is a rare opportunity for a junior lawyer with 2‑4 years’ post‑qualification experience to step into an in‑house role at the heart of global finance, supporting MUFG’s dynamic Capital Markets Group.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice, review, draft, and negotiate documentation for a wide variety of debt capital markets transactions across multiple product lines.
- Support the structuring and establishment of new products and innovative business initiatives within the Capital Markets Group.
- Engage directly with clients during negotiations and assist business units by clearly explaining complex products to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Offer strategic legal counsel on regulatory matters, reputational considerations, and documentation issues related to capital markets activities.
- Deliver training sessions on legal and regulatory developments to employees across the Firm to ensure up‑to‑date knowledge sharing.
