Job Responsibilities

Audit Analysts are responsible for completing the execution and delivery of assigned elements of audit engagements, working within audit teams.

This includes supporting the scoping, planning and reporting of audits, issue validation, and continuous monitoring activities, as well as any other tasks assigned by the Audit Director or Senior Audit Manager.

Key duties include

  • Timely delivery of tasks within established deadlines.
  • Documenting workpapers to required methodology and Quality Assurance Standards.
  • Escalating potential findings promptly to the Auditor in Charge and supporting stakeholder discussions to agree on issues in the area of assigned testing.
  • Coordinating issue follow‑up with stakeholders and validating issues to the required quality standards and within relevant KPIs.
  • Maintaining regular touchpoints with relevant stakeholders to drive and support effective issue management.
  • Delivering audit workpapers and files to meet QA standards, remediating review comments, and demonstrating continuous improvement in audit skills and documentation.
  • Ensuring data quality aligns with related deadlines and expectations.
  • Producing individual issues written for an executive audience – impactful, clear, factual, and minimal edits required by the Auditor in Charge.
  • Embedding an agile framework to improve frequency and quality of stakeholder interaction during audits.
  • Partnering with relevant stakeholders to demonstrate impact and influence through tangible outcomes and raised standards of controls and behaviours.
  • When assigned Continuous Monitoring tasks, identifying and escalating emerging risks or material changes that might affect the audit universe, risk assessment or audit plan.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working in an audit or risk management function within the Financial Services sector (banking, investment banking, or Big 4 firm).
  • Strong understanding of auditing methods and industry practices.
  • Appreciation of risk and control in banking and financial services, including financial products, their risks and revenue generation.
  • Experience in Agile Auditing and Data Analytics.

Education and Professional Qualifications

  • Higher education or equivalent industry experience.
  • Professional qualifications (ACA, CFA, CIA, etc.) are desirable.
