As an Assistant Vice President Credit Manager at MUFG's Credit Office for EMEA in London, you will immerse yourself in a role that blends analytical rigour with collaborative teamwork.   • Conduct thorough credit analysis of allocated sectors and products, including drafting detailed credit papers, applying rating methodologies, and preparing comparative statistics under the guidance of senior management.
  • Monitor and review existing portfolio transactions regularly, making well-considered recommendations regarding credit decisions and ratings to ensure ongoing portfolio health.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as directed by Team Leads or Group Heads, contributing to the setup or adjustment of risk criteria and policies aimed at enhancing portfolio quality.
  • Stay informed on trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting allocated sectors or products across EMEA countries, sharing insights with your team to foster collective understanding.
  • Support the professional development of junior colleagues by sharing technical knowledge related to specific sectors or products and encouraging their growth within the organisation.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for Tokyo Head Office and European Headquarters as required, ensuring all materials for credit committees are accurate and insightful.
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies by adhering strictly to established procedures throughout all aspects of your work.
  • Meet internal policy requirements consistently while upholding MUFG's standards for transparency, fairness, and honesty in every task undertaken.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to maintain effective communication channels between senior management and junior staff members.
  • Identify potential conflicts of interest between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc responsibilities, escalating issues appropriately to maintain legal entity integrity.

Qualifications and Experience
