The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

In this role you will be responsible for KYC across MUFG's securities and banking business under a dual‑hat arrangement.

You will act and make decisions on behalf of both the bank and the securities business, with the same level of authority regardless of the entity that employs you.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Know Your Customer due diligence work within a reasonable time‑frame to onboard new‑to‑bank clients while complying with the Bank's AML policy and all applicable regulatory requirements, including London, Paris and Milan KYC Policy.
  • Review and update existing customer profiles, conduct event‑driven reviews and raise escalations as required.
  • Perform bribery and corruption checks for prospective transactions to identify potential reputational, business and sanction risks.
  • Act as the subject‑matter expert for KYC and AML onboarding, providing ad‑hoc support and training to the team.
  • Represent the team and, where appropriate, the division or bank to key stakeholders on KYC/AML matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer categorisation and suitability assessments, ensuring suitability for Mi FID, EMIR, Dodd‑Frank and other applicable regulations.
  • Pursue lean‑onboarding initiatives, identify opportunities to strengthen controls and improve efficiency.
  • Escalate risks or issues to line management and provide clear, concise resolution paths.
  • Provide support for corporate client onboarding and periodic reviews within GCIB when required.
  • Publish onboarding and administrative metrics for key stakeholders and maintain MI.
  • Train and develop junior team members and keep abreast of developments in money laundering, bribery and corruption prevention.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve complex KYC queries and act as the point of contact for such cases.
  • Manage resources, capacity, stakeholder relationships and continuously improve the customer and business service delivered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' experience in an FCA‑regulated environment with strong knowledge of KYC, AML and financial crime fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and experience in roles where precision is critical.
  • Experience in anti‑money laundering, fraud, bribery, or financial crime roles is beneficial.
  • Degree level education or equivalent industry experience is beneficial.
