MUFG Service Operations provides the Operations function (24x7x365) to deliver uninterrupted, reliable and secure support by monitoring and ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of critical infrastructure and platforms, including Control‑M and Swift.
Main Purpose of the Role
We are seeking an IT Operations Administrator to support the 24x7 Operations team. Specifically, accountability for the following named departments, this includes Digital Engineering Services and Solutions (DES) – IT Operations, Swift, Control‑M & TapeTrack.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable and responsible for taking appropriate action with respect to the Company’s and IT Operations [Bank/Securities], Swift [Securities] & Control‑M [Bank/Securities].
- Responsible for administering the day‑to‑day IT Operations support and processing, encompassing all applications that they support.
- Overseeing that there is sufficient shift cover for all Operational Tasks related to the End of Day Processing, IT Operations platforms and business support as needed.
- Responsible for the day‑to‑day administration and maintenance of all IT Operations owned applications / platforms.
- Provide 1st line IT Support for the End of Day Processing and for Business Users.
- Provide 2nd line IT (platform) Support for IT Operations owned Applications including but not limited to TapeTrack, Control‑M and Swift (HSM, Access, Gateway, WebPlatform).
- Liaise with 3rd line platform support specialist for TapeTrack, Control‑M and Swift (HSM, Access, Gateway, WebPlatform) as required.
- Responsible for ensuring all IT Operations documentation is up‑to‑date and relevant.
- Provide regular Reporting relating to Batch processing and IT Infrastructure management in relation IT Operations matters.
- Responsible for ensuring all regulatory based requirements are met from an IT Operations perspective.
- Includes on call support rotation for critical services, once sufficient experience has been gained.
- Weekend support is required for maintaining production systems during maintenance windows, once sufficient experience has been gained.
Work Experience
The role holder will ideally have 3+ years of experience in IT Operations, or a similar role.
Skills And Experience
Functional / Technical Competencies
- Technical Knowledge: Good level of knowledge of Microsoft office, Teams. Windows Server & Linux Server would be beneficial. Any further experience with other infrastructure such as Networking would also be beneficial. Any Control‑M, Swift, TapeTrack or other platform management experience is beneficial.
- Problem‑Solving Skills: Exposure to root cause analysis, critical incident response, and problem‑solving techniques to address complex IT issues.
- Regulatory Understanding: Some experience ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as DORA, GDPR, or equivalent regulations in the financial/technology sector.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and drive compliance initiatives.
- Tools: Proficiency with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA), monitoring systems, and reporting platforms; experience with automation tools is a plus.
Education / Qualifications
Higher education or equivalent industry experience. Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience in area of expertise. Experience working in regulated environment or critical infrastructure sector.
