MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Control Room is part of the Private Side Advisory compliance team and is responsible for transactional conflicts of interest and information barriers. This role will be supporting the EMEA Control Room regarding transactional conflicts management and information barriers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will be acting across MUFG’s banking arm and securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. Under this arrangement you will make decisions on behalf of both the bank and the securities business, subject to the same remit and level of authority, irrespective of the entity which employs you.
Job responsibilities include:
- Support the day to day management of transactional conflict clearance and information barriers.
- Interact with, and be one of the primary contacts with the business on BAU matters relating to conflicts of interest and information barriers.
- Provide support to the Head of the EMEA Control Room in various matters.
- Support the development of the conflicts of interest management and information barriers framework across all business lines operating in EMEA.
- Provide advice, guidance and challenge to the Private Side businesses in regulatory compliance matters.
- Draft and update policies and procedures as necessary.
- Support the Advisory team (both Private Side and Markets) with the delivery of training to the business.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred:
- Entry level opportunity for an Analyst.
- Relevant compliance experience - would be beneficial but not essential - within a Conflicts Office or Private Side Advisory Compliance role in an investment banking organisation.

- Knowledge of MAR and MiFID II Conflicts of Interest requirements.
