As a Service Development Graduate, you will play a vital role in supporting key projects, improving service processes, and gaining exposure to outage planning and execution, engineering operations, and quality management systems.
Your Role
- Operate in accordance with Mitsubishi Power Europe’s standardized Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
- Support key service operations by tracking and ensuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and company objectives are met.
- Collaborate on project budget updates, align with Finance, and report to senior management.
- Ensure correct implementation of the commercial process for UK projects in compliance with internal procedures.
- Contribute to the review and creation of Program Management QMS procedures.
- Assist in assigning, measuring, and tracking project KPIs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Tasks:
- Develop a deep understanding of MHI gas and steam turbine operations.
- Familiarise yourself with technical drawings, control logic, and schematic diagrams.
- Assist the engineering team in preparing technical documents, reports, and reliability improvement strategies.
- Conduct site assessments and prepare non-conformity reports.
- Participate in the repair engineering process and witness component repair applications.
- Visit workshops to assess potential vendors and contribute to procurement strategies.
Outage Planning & Execution
- Support the preparation of outage deliverables, ensuring seamless coordination between external vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Engage with Field Service, Engineering, and QHSE teams to ensure proper planning of health & safety arrangements, spare parts availability, and tooling.
- Assist in identifying and qualifying local vendors for outage support and spare parts supply.
- Provide on-site logistics support, coordinate sub-vendors, manage timesheets, and track costs during outage execution.
- Work alongside Outage Program Managers and senior engineers to support outage close-out processes, cost reporting, and post-outage reviews.
Field Service & Service Development
- Study the work scope of assigned projects and perform basic field service tasks.
- Assist in preparing data sheets, reports, and outage schedules.
- Support tool preparation, part checks, and field service workflow documentation.
- Liaise with customers to understand project specifications and service requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless service execution and customer satisfaction.
- Draft project specifications and detailed requests for quotations, while following up on outstanding issues to resolve queries efficiently.
