Your Role: As a Graduate Project Engineer you will:

  • Support the management of contracts with key customers across the UK and neighbouring countries.
  • Assist Project and Programme Managers in executing engineering projects efficiently, ensuring smooth project progression and stakeholder alignment.
  • Take ownership of small projects under the supervision of senior managers, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure health & safety, environmental compliance, and customer satisfaction, playing a key role in risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Participate in project planning, execution, and closure phases, gaining exposure to all aspects of the engineering project lifecycle and ensuring all necessary documentation is maintained.
  • Contribute to the development of Mitsubishi Power Europe's Programme Management Quality Management System (QMS) by engaging in continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of project components and adherence to quality standards.
  • Engage in technical and commercial discussions with customers, supporting contract negotiations and ensuring all engineering solutions align with customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in project budget updates, financial reporting, and alignment with management objectives, ensuring financial efficiency and cost control.
  • Ensure HGPP rotation plan is updated and coordinate Hot Gas Path Parts provision and arrangement for the projects assigned.
  • Support the coordination of spare parts provision, outage planning, and vendor management, working to optimise resources and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial processes and internal procedures, maintaining high operational and regulatory standards.
  • Play an active role in health & safety arrangements and quality assurance initiatives, contributing to a strong safety culture.
  • Support outage execution on-site, assisting with logistics, vendor coordination, and cost control while ensuring projects remain on track and meet performance expectations.
  • Participate in lessons learned and continuous improvement activities to enhance project outcomes, capturing best practices for future projects.
  • Assist in monitoring project KPIs and preparing reports for senior management to track progress and performance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Mitsubishi Power Europe's operational framework and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
