The Generator Electrical/Mechanical Supervisor is a field-based role responsible for leading and executing Generator outage activities.

This position combines hands‑on technical work with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring that all maintenance, inspection, and assembly tasks are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

As part of the Field Service Support Team, the role also contributes to outage planning, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives, while supporting quality assurance processes across generator maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Service & Outage Execution
  • Perform hands‑on generator mechanical and electrical maintenance activities during outages in accordance with Mitsubishi Power EMEA procedures and standards
  • Support outage planning, execution, and post‑outage evaluation to improve efficiency and quality
  • Lead field service activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements
  • Generator Mechanical Activities
  • Removal, inspection, and assembly of key generator components, including:
  • Collector ring and brush gear parts
  • Bearings and seal ring components
  • Gas coolers and end brackets
  • Fan blades and nozzle ring/inner end shield components
  • Rotor removal, alignment, uncoupling, and reinstallation
  • Generator Electrical & Winding Activities

• Perform winding‑related maintenance and inspections, including

  • Stator high‑voltage bushings, coils, wedges, and parallel rings
  • Stator core inspection and repair
  • Rotor components including collector rings, terminal leads, retaining rings, wedges, and coils
  • Conduct electrical testing associated with all relevant activities
  • Supervision & Quality Control
  • Supervise and coordinate work performed by third‑party manpower providers
  • Ensure all activities are completed within schedule and meet quality expectations
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures during inspections and testing
  • Review inspection data and provide technical recommendations
  • Review and ensure field service documentation meets MPW EMEA standards
  • Develop, review, and revise field service procedures and technical documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Field Service department

Qualifications

  • Proven related experience in generator maintenance, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering
  • Fluency in business English, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with computer systems and common office software packages (Microsoft Office suite or equivalent)

• Solid knowledge and understanding of the following technical areas

  • Mechanical principles and mechanical systems
  • Electrical principles and electrical systems
  • Rotating machinery operation and maintenance
  • Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience in a technical field
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance procedures and best practices
  • Proficiency in technical documentation, report writing, and procedure development
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in complex equipment
