Overview

Plan and execute Public Relations & Product and Corporate Communications activities for Mitsubishi Motors in Europe to promote the brand and its products. You will report to the Director of Product, Marketing and PR. In this role, you will interact with a network of country PR teams across Europe, Tokyo HQ, and Alliance counterparts. Working within a small and dynamic team in our office near Amsterdam, you will be an independent communications professional, responsible for developing and modernising the PR function, with an emphasis on digital platforms and communications. Strong inter-cultural and communication skills are essential, along with a flexible mindset.

Job Content

  • Manage Product and Corporate PR activities and content creation:
  • Develop and execute yearly communications plan to ensure maximum impact & tonality across online and offline platforms.
  • Develop and deploy Key Product & Corporate messages for the external audience.
  • Plan and organise press events and activities for Product, Corporate and others.
  • Develop and prepare content/story-telling across all platforms, including contribution to Social Media channels.
  • Develop and manage all press materials (press texts, images, video, presentations, speeches and Q&As).
  • Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results on a regular basis – develop KPIs set to maximise performance across online and offline PR activities in MME new car sales markets (~20 mkts).
  • Act as second company spokesman in external corporate communication.
  • Lead, Develop and Manage key events for MME in Europe:
  • Design, deploy and execute Press Events for static, dynamic or exhibition type of events.
  • Organise & execute pan-European events for European Distributor Meetings (EDM), Fleet, Residual Value, MMC Top Management meetings in Europe.
  • Maximise budget efficiency/ROI based on department budget.
  • Development and maintenance of PR & Comms related content & platforms:
  • Develop and implement appropriate digital PR tools, including responsibility of MME LinkedIn page and Media MME Website, including content and community.
  • Advise management and propose continuous improvements on PR issues and digital communication tools.
  • Absorb relevant information both in- and externally, in order to develop appropriate quality and quantity of content.
  • Effective support and assistance on all PR-related topics towards Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.
  • Responsible for LinkedIn community and Media Website content management.
  • Manage Media:
  • Secure and maintain good external relations, ensure effective content management and management of all PR related tools.
  • Manage development and implementation of online and offline communication tools and platforms to maximise reach, impact and tonality across online and offline audiences.
  • Develop media relations to influence positive outcomes for MME in the media.
  • Actively expand, manage and develop new audiences within Automotive Media Landscape (content creators, TV Medias, Influencers within PR Comms field).
  • Manage and guide European PR community and stakeholders: MMC HQ PR Dept, Country PR Managers, Alliance PR managers and external PR professionals where appropriate.
  • Responsible for pitching stories, both in- and external.
  • Manage and challenge external service providers.

Job requirements

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience within the Automotive Industry, preferably in PR and Comms area (OEM and HQ level).
  • Confident communicator and presenter.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, high level of English a must.
  • Proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with attention to detail.
  • Tactical understanding of all primary digital media platforms.
  • Strong relationship builder.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Influential and pro-active mindset.
  • Multicultural awareness and mindset.
