Office Location: Stockley Park, Uxbridge, UB11 1ET

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am – 5pm (35 hours per week, 1 hour lunch break)

Job Summary:

The After Sales Engineer carries out various activities related to technical support for distributors and partners in territories in charge, which is related to air conditioning, heat pumps, and refrigeration, cooperating with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems (MTH) service/design section and with factory service section report to the Manager in the Technical Division. The job holder will do various services for products for customers (providing services on site, commissioning of product, and creating presentations). The engineer is required to continuously develop their knowledge in technical specification of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) products. The activities include planning service for new products, instructing service methods and promoting new MHI products.

Main Duties Description:

  • Technical support to distributors/customers
  • Respond to technical inquiries by e-mail or phone without any delays
  • Investigate the unit troubles/claims
  • Visit the site for commissioning/trouble shooting for customers/distributors
  • Visit distributors'/customers' office to provide responses to their inquiries
  • Check the drawing of projects (unit/pipe/electrical installation), setting, and check the operation data
  • Submit reports for technical supports for site visits

Support MTH/Factory after sales activities:

  • Support spare parts activities for the operation team to improve spare parts delivery
  • Prepare MHI technical supports documents (in English and in other European languages)
  • Propose ideas to improve technical documents for distributors

Create new service tools:

  • Support MTH/Factory design section/service section activity

Promote MHI products:

  • Introduce new products highlighting features and benefits
  • Create presentations for distributors/customers
  • Organize seminars/workshops for distributors/customers
  • Help to create new brochures/leaflets for the territories
  • Survey the market information for new products
  • Benchmark competitors’ new products continuously and making comparisons
  • Survey relevant standards/regulations/EU directives
  • Visit exhibitions to investigate new products/market information
  • Attend relevant seminars/meetings relating to heat pump industry associations

Accelerate & Support Customer Business:

  • Build customer relationships to boost business opportunities
  • Oversee major accounts while fostering long-term customer partnerships
  • Pick out/feedback potential improvements for products and services from After sales activities

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • An Engineering degree or equivalent relevant qualification gained through study or apprenticeship
  • Minimum of three years of technical experience in the air conditioning, heat pump, and/or refrigeration industry, preferably in roles involving manufacturers or distributors
  • Knowledge in refrigeration cycle; commercial refrigeration system; VRF system; heat pump system; chiller system; building management system; EU regulations/directives related to air conditioning/refrigeration
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Fluent English, both oral and written
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Multi-tasking
  • Knowledge of other European language(s) could be beneficial
  • Prioritizing skills
  • Understanding of customer requirements
  • Advance knowledge in Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Create and carry out presentations
  • Analyze operation data of the products
  • Business trips across Europe with a short notice will be required
  • Status to travel Europe without visa is required
