Job Summary
After Sales Engineer carries out various activities related to technical support for distributors and partners in territories in charge, dealing with air conditioning, heat pumps, and refrigeration. The role cooperates with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems (MTH) service/design section and the factory service section, reporting to the Manager in the Technical Division.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to distributors and customers via e‑mail or phone, investigating unit troubles and claims.
- Visit sites for commissioning, troubleshooting, and conducting on‑site services.
- Check project drawings, unit, pipe, and electrical installations and verify operation data.
- Compile and submit reports for technical support visits.
- Support MTH/Factory after‑sales activities and spare parts delivery improvement.
- Prepare technical support documents in English and other European languages.
- Propose improvements to technical documents for distributors.
- Create new service tools and presentations for distributors and customers.
- Organise seminars and workshops for distributors and customers.
- Help produce brochures and leaflets for territories.
- Conduct market surveys, benchmark competitors’ new products, and research standards, regulations, and EU directives.
- Attend exhibitions and seminars related to the heat‑pump industry associations.
- Build and maintain customer relationships, fostering long‑term partnerships and identifying opportunities.
- Collect feedback for product and service improvements from after‑sales activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum three years of technical experience in the air conditioning, heat pump, and/or refrigeration industry, preferably with manufacturers or distributors.
- Knowledge of refrigeration cycle, commercial refrigeration systems, VRF systems, heat pump systems, chiller systems, building management systems, and relevant EU regulations/directives.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, and multi‑tasking skills.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written; knowledge of additional European languages is beneficial.
- Prioritising skills and understanding of customer requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to create and deliver presentations.
- Analytical skills to interpret operation data.
- Willingness to travel across Europe on short notice.
- Status to travel Europe without visa required.
