The Internal Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing the Consultant database within a defined region. The role focuses on close collaboration with the branch sales network to deliver a consistent, customer‑centric experience, while driving growth in customer base, opportunity pipeline, and revenue. This role has been introduced to provide dedicated support to smaller M&E consultants who prefer a remote engagement model, as well as to support customers who cannot be fully serviced by existing Account Managers due to capacity constraints. Where customer experience is at risk, the Internal Account Manager will act as the primary point of contact, taking ownership of issue resolution and working collaboratively across the wider sales network to deliver effective outcomes.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Build and develop strong relationships with a portfolio of consultants
  • Provide technical advice, quotations, and responsive support to customers
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through branch‑generated leads and proactive engagement
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge across the MELCO/MEHITS range to support customer needs effectively
  • Deliver CPDs and product training to consultants via virtual platforms (e.g., Teams) and face‑to‑face where appropriate
  • Analyse and segment the customer base, using profiling tools to identify growth opportunities
  • Manage assigned accounts to achieve sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth
  • Track and monitor project opportunities, ensuring visibility and progress through the pipeline
  • Coordinate and share project intelligence with relevant sales teams to maximise conversion
  • Collaborate with branch teams, including participation in networking events to strengthen customer relationships
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all customer interactions within Connect ME (CRM), ensuring all actions and follow‑ups are completed
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical systems and HVAC principles
  • Good understanding of ME products, with the ability to confidently discuss product range and technical applications (or willingness to develop this knowledge)
  • Awareness of current building regulations and industry standards, with the ability to apply these in a practical context
  • Professional and confident telephone manner, with the ability to handle queries and build rapport with customers and partners
  • Strong IT literacy, including experience using business systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Relevant technical qualification (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or HVAC‑related discipline) desirable
