Role summary
To support the Compliance team in communicating, maintaining, and monitoring ongoing compliance activities within MEU-UK.
The role ensures that all regulatory obligations and MEU Corporate requirements are consistently fulfilled, properly documented, and clearly communicated in a professional and supportive manner.
This position is key to upholding the organisation’s ethical standards, regulatory compliance, and effective day‑to‑day risk management operations.
Skills/Responsibilities
- Manage the uploading and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures on the branch intranet ensuring accessibility and version control.
- Manage and monitor user access to the SAP system, ensuring appropriate permissions are granted.
- Coordinate, administer and track employee Compliance training activities, including New Starter Inductions, e-Learning modules, and face-to-face training.
- Liaise with Business Units (BUs) and the Business Support Team (BST) to enhance compliance awareness, improve internal processes and ensure compliance risk management standards.
- Assist in the preparation and support of branch audits, ensuring all necessary pre-audit documentation is accurately collected and submitted.
- Conduct high level reviews of documents and flag compliance concerns.
- Update Compliance procedures as required.
- Perform a range of ad hoc administrative tasks to support the Compliance team’s daily operations.
Experience
- Understanding of how compliance fits into broader governance structures.
- Knowledge of compliance best practices.
- Awareness of internal compliance procedures, controls, and risk management practices.
- Basic understanding of regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point); compliance systems experience is a plus.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing documentation, monitoring processes, and identifying inconsistencies or breaches.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret policies and procedures, assess risk, report issues and recommend improvements.
- Ability to perform tasks concurrently whilst maintaining accuracy and a high standard of quality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across the immediate team and wider business.
