As part of the UK Residential Product Group (RPG) Sales Network Team, the purpose of the National Key Account Manager role is to develop, manage and implement commercial strategy and business development plans for selected Key Accounts. Selected Key Accounts would include but not be limited to Utility Providers, National House Builders/Developers and National Main Contractors.
With an objective to profitably grow the sales for MEUK through identified Key Accounts across all Residential Heating products, systems, and services. Take full ownership of developing and implementing a bespoke Sales/Business Development Strategy for all identified Key Account customers.
Managing the day-to-day relationship and maintenance of identified Key Accounts, ensuring the highest level of service is provided. Utilising other business areas to improve service levels and drive sales growth.
Take responsibility for any required contractual/commercial agreements related to identified Key Accounts, this would include RFP’s, RFI’s, PQQ’s and associated tender bids. Developing a close working relationship with the legal department would also be a key aspect in relation to these tasks.
Work closely with colleagues in Product, Marketing & Communications to deliver innovative strategic solutions to identified Key Accounts, this could include solutions in connectivity, digital, aftersales S&M and SaaS based services.
Develop and execute a focused sales strategy and business plan for the identified and allocated Key Account network. Develop a profile and forecasting strategy for each account to ensure forecasting is as accurate as possible, managing the dissemination of this detail throughout the sales networks would also be a key part of the role.
Provide rolling forecast of projected sales on a monthly and quarterly basis. Compile management reports to detail Key Account, Market and Competitor analysis. Deliver or contribute to specific projects assigned via the Leadership/Senior Management team to support business growth & development.
Ensure successful departmental collaboration across the wider business including but not limited to Operations, Aftersales, Pre Sales-Technical, Residential Lifecycle Solutions and additional LES Group Directive areas. Achieve year on year growth & sales targets utilising all product groups services and solutions, working continuously towards meeting the businesses sales budget and wider Ai30 goals.
Ensure all financial & non-financial Critical Success Factors/KPI’s are achieved.
Knowledge and experience of the UK Heating/HVAC/Construction industries key commercial behaviours, players and relationships, typically gained through 5+ years’ experience operating in a similar senior roles such as Key Accounts, Management, Procurement and Business Development.
Proven Track record for contract negotiation and successful implementation of commercial trading agreements. Good knowledge and legal understanding of contract terms and conditions.
The ability to frame a differentiated solution that has confirmed and relevant value for the client, evidenced by the ability to carry out research and continuous learning to develop capability in utilising product features, advantages, benefits and legislative drivers in crafting compelling sales arguments and value propositions.
Preferential knowledge of IoT, digital and connected services. Analytical with a high attention to detail and the ability to interpret, understand and act upon information and data from many sources.
Proven track record of tender management and submission. The ability to create, manage and execute a winning Key Account sales strategy, using strong interpersonal communication, collaboration and leadership skills.
The ability to develop and deliver impactful and compelling ‘sales presentations’ that engage the audience intellectually and emotionally to favorably influence their thinking and decisions.
The ability to assess, prioritise and engage selected markets, accounts, or individuals to initiate the demand management cycle. IT literate with an ability to use MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics, Teams) to intermediate level as a minimum.
