Role summary: The primary responsibility of the Credit Risk Analyst is to support developing a proactive, data-led Credit Risk function through portfolio monitoring, BI reporting, AI-supported analysis and automation. The role supports improved risk visibility, workflow efficiency, credit decision-making, data/process control and sustainable commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively review customer portfolios to identify risk trends, exposure movements and growth opportunities.
  • Analyse financial statements, credit reports, payment history and other relevant information to support credit decisions.
  • Produce BI reporting, KPI reporting and portfolio analysis to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Use AI-supported tools, where appropriate, to improve analysis, reporting and process efficiency.
  • Support the development of automation within credit risk workflows, reporting and exception management.
  • Monitor portfolio exposures and highlight material changes or adverse risk information.
  • Maintain accurate customer data, credit records and related administration to support reporting accuracy and process control.
  • Support the Credit Risk Supervisor with system improvements and wider departmental initiatives.
