What is Soarno L?
Soarnol™ is an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer developed by Mitsubishi Chemical's own technology.
It has high gas barrier properties, oil resistance and high transparency derived from vinyl alcohol structure as well as moisture resistance and extrudability comes from ethylene unit.
Additionally, Soarnol consists of carbon, oxygen and hydrogen so no harmful gases are generated when it is incinerated, and its combustion heat is half that of polyethylene.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include
- Add newly packed grades, Qty & batch to the Packaging File daily.
- SAP Transfer note's to & from site daily.
- Monthly packaging stock count & reconciliation and adjustments on SAP.
- Stock management report check on SAP daily.
- Eye wash station checked each Monday and signed, all three stations.
- Operating Packaging lines efficiently to an agreed plan.
- Maintaining strict batch sampling regimes
- Routine maintenance and cleaning of packaging lines and associated equipment
- Routine maintenance and safety checks to fork lift trucks
- Daily equipment checks
- Unloading of Raw Materials, in compliance with SOP, ensuring vehicle and deliveries are in accordance with Site Access Agreement.
- Loading finished product for transportation
- Unloading finished product for use in blending systems
- Routine housekeeping to include operation of the recycling compactor units.
- Continuous monitoring and recording of Housekeeping and Safety Standards through the use of Audits.
- Monthly Audits – HSE / Housekeeping
- Writing & updating of SOP's / Risk assessments
- Implementation of 5's based workplace improvement techniques
- Ensuring all contact with suppliers is in accordance with the Company Confidentiality Clause.
- General responsibility for Health and Safety & Environmental issues
- Safe usage of equipment in accordance with manufacturers guidelines
- Raise work orders using Maximo system
- Record near misses and incidents on Cats system
- Record daily packaging / equipment status information for oncoming shift.
- Representation at Employee Forum and Site HSE Group meetings
- Work to published SOP's
- Routine dependant on daily Stock levels of finished product for packaging. This is ascertained by the use of PHD and communication with the control room DCS operatives.
- Operation and HSE procedures / risk assessments are available
- Decision to accept or reject delivered goods dependant on compliance with set standards as stated in SOP.
What we are looking for
- Computer literate to basic standard essential
- Packing Line experience desirable but not essential
- Experience in Chemical Process Operations advantageous.
- Good communication Skills at all levels are essential.
- FLT Counterbalance Licence preferred
- Experience working shifts
