Role Responsibilities
- Conduct AE audits in line with HTM, JSP, and Mitie standards, upload reports, and drive corrective actions.
- Assess and recommend Authorised Persons (APs) for system coverage and maintain an accurate AP register.
- Define AP responsibilities and issue Letters of Appointment (valid for up to 3 years) following competency assessments.
- Perform annual AP audits and review operational experience.
- Report system deficiencies to Senior Leadership and recommend appropriate training.
- Maintain AE diary and support APs in developing Safe Systems of Work.
- Provide technical training and stay up to date with legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
- Conduct technical inspections, condition reporting, and investigate dangerous occurrences.
- Circulate safety alerts and drive continuous improvement aligned with TST strategy.
- Travel extensively across the UK to provide technical support and oversight.
Required Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in relevant engineering disciplines (LV, HV, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Confined Spaces).
- Proven experience as an Authorised Person; AE experience desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge and demonstrable health & safety expertise.
- Confident communicator with strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools and data analysis.
- Flexible, resilient, and willing to travel regularly.
