Site Waste Champion is responsible for the communication and execution of the Imperfect Product sales agenda and associated site waste streams, reporting to the central functional lead.
The candidate will typically be responsible for the organisation and maximum collection opportunities in each product category of imperfect product. They will collaborate effectively and escalate potential risks to key stakeholders. Deliver documented reports on waste stream progress on a weekly basis to key stakeholders.
The role will cover multiple waste streams across the site including card, plastic, animal feed, R1 Reduce, R2 Reuse, R3 Recycle. This list is not exhaustive.
Main Duties- Building strong relationships with both internal and external customers
- Ensure maximum return is achieved where possible on the sale of waste
- Deliver the weekly and monthly Imperfect Product sales numbers vs forecast
- Supporting the UK Waste Specialist and Site Management Teams through reports and analysis that aid decision making where required
- Provide details of any scope data relevant to the role i.e., weekly net sales
- Maintenance of Imperfect Product Dashboard through tracking volume
- Effective at building relationships
- Working autonomously and as part of a team towards a common goal
- Logical mind and eye for detail
- Proficient Excel and PowerPoint skills – including data analysis, advanced formula creation, pivot tables, and generating weekly and monthly reports
- Ideally educated to degree level
- Ability to interact with people at all levels
- Organised & detailed individual
- Good communicator
- Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
