The Caretaker will play a vital role in ensuring the West Yorkshire Police Training Facility remains safe, operational, and well‑maintained. This position combines hands‑on maintenance work with day‑to‑day caretaking duties, supporting the smooth running of a busy and high‑profile environment. Main Duties & Responsibilities
- General Maintenance
- Carry out routine repairs and maintenance across the facility, including plumbing, joinery, basic electrical tasks, painting, and general building upkeep.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment and building systems.
- Support external contractors on site, ensuring work is completed safely and to required standards.
- Caretaking & Facilities Support
- Maintain external areas such as car parks, walkways, and training grounds.
