We're looking for a Catering Assistant who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.
Contract: Relief
Type: Catering assistant
Hours: Minimum of 8 hours per week to cover holidays and absence - working hours are between 7.30am and 7.30pm Monday to Friday.
Pay: £12.24 per hour with double time for bank holidays
Location: B&Q Distribution Centre Swindon SN34QS
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
- Serve food in correct portions and wash dishes, cutlery, and catering equipment.
- Clean all catering areas daily and follow health and safety standards.
- Handle cash collection, banking, and maintain records and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and colleagues to deliver excellent service.
What we're looking for:
- Previous catering experience in a similar environment (desirable).
- Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates (training provided if not held).
- Adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
- Passion for customer service and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and confident with strong organisational and time management skills.
