Argus Fire, part of the Mitie Group, is the UK's class-leading supplier of fire detection and fire protection systems. We design, install, and maintain all types of automatically operating fire extinguishing systems and electronically activated fire detection and alarm systems for large projects through to servicing small standalone products. We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor, ideally with previous experience within the fire protection sector, to join our busy Commercial Team.
Duties:
- Provide commercial assistance to the project teams.
- Tender stage terms and conditions review.
- Monthly progress valuations of projects.
- Timely and accurate variations submissions.
- Attention to site progress and any delay events.
- Mentoring of junior team members.
- Attending site visits and client meetings.
Candidate Skill Requirements:
- Previous experience within fire protection sector is preferred or if not construction services industry is required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Full clean driving licence.
