We are looking for an experienced and dynamic engineering professional to join our senior management team overseeing the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) Operational Property Contract (OPC) in Cyprus. Reporting to the Account Director, this role has island-wide responsibilities and is pivotal in overseeing operational service delivery across the MoD estate. You will lead a collaborative approach with the Supply Chain Operations Manager and Additional Works Manager to ensure all contracted activities are delivered to the highest standards. This is a strategic role requiring strong leadership, technical assurance expertise, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage teams including Mast & Towers, Helpdesk, PPM Planning, Compliance, Asset Management, and Safe Systems of Work.
- Oversee maintenance programmes, inspections, and remedial works, ensuring compliance with statutory and MoD requirements.
- Implement and monitor Establishment Specific Task Schedules (ESTS) and technical assurance processes aligned with SFG20/MIRS.
- Act as subject matter expert for technical assurance, compliance, and asset management.
- Manage asbestos and legionella responsibilities in line with regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement, performance monitoring, and KPI achievement.
- Develop policies, processes, and documentation to support contract delivery.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, supply chain, and key stakeholders.
- Support audits, compliance regimes, and health and safety culture.
What We're Looking For
- HNC/Degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in hard FM contract delivery and compliance.
- Military environment experience advantageous (ideal for ex‑garrison engineers).
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse, problem-solve, and deliver practical solutions.
- IT proficiency (MAXIMO experience desirable).
- QHSE accreditation advantageous (training provided).
- Greek language skills desirable but not essential.
