As Resourcing Lead for Mitie\’s Defence sector, you\’ll play a critical role in shaping and delivering resourcing solutions across some of the UK\’s most high-profile contracts. While you\’ll contribute to long-term planning and resourcing strategy, this role also requires a strong hands-on focus—providing direct support to the business through effective candidate delivery and mobilisation. From creating effective long term resourcing solutions, building up candidate attraction campaigns and navigating security clearance protocols, you\’ll ensure our resourcing approach is both future-focused and operationally responsive.
Job OverviewActing as a trusted partner to operational and HR partners, you will lead workforce planning, anticipate demand, and ensure seamless talent delivery to support contract growth, mobilisation, and continuity. Working closely with the business area to forecast talent needs, address critical skills gaps, and align recruitment activity with evolving contract priorities. You\’ll act as a true strategic advisor, shaping hiring approaches that are agile, cost-effective, and tailored to our Defence sector\’s needs
Main Duties
This role demands the ability to balance proactive planning with responsive delivery. You\’ll take ownership of critical recruitment campaigns, ensuring that mobilisation plans, contract deadlines, and ongoing workforce continuity are met without compromising candidate experience or compliance. You\’ll also partner with vetting and compliance teams to oversee clearance pathways, mitigate delays, and provide regular reporting on risks and timelines.
