Job Overview
Provide planning management and support to both pre-contract and contract operations for the business and coordinate with bid and construction teams to manage and control the planning and programming aspects of bid proposals and projects in progress.
Main Duties
Lead, manage & mentor the planning team
Develop & implement planning process & procedures
Standardise reporting & planning documentation.
Stakeholder Management (internal & external)
Working with the Operations team to identify best practice and efficiencies
Provide metrics to estimating team regarding outputs & durations
Working closely with the commercial team to secure contract entitlement
Managing inter departmental compliance
Resource planning
Progress & Jeopardy reporting
Challenge site progress
Summary level reporting into board of directors on each project
Working with the Commercial team to develop budgets & forecasts
What we are looking for
5+ years construction industry experience, specifically electrical or civils.
Advanced skills in Primavera P6 & MS Project software
Experience dealing with blue chip companies •
Ability to influence people at all levels of the organisation •
Renewable Energy or utility industry experience
3+ Years Line management experience •
Prince 2 qualification
Ability to challenge information presented
Understanding of NEC3/4, IET, FIDIC or JCT contracts
Excellent communication & organisation skills
