As part of your responsibilities, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with contractual requirements across the site, ensuring job cards and PDA entries are completed accurately. You\'ll also be involved in new works and planned or responsive maintenance on various plant and systems, including plumbing services. This includes installing pumps, valves, and pipework, as well as maintaining plant equipment.

You will act upon Legionella risk assessments and implement control measures such as flushing systems, taking tap temperatures, and performing de-scaling routines. Training will be provided for these tasks. Responding to reactive maintenance requests within agreed timeframes is essential, and all documentation must be completed promptly. Safety and professionalism are key in this role. You must adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as the client\'s safety rules. A strong health and safety mindset is essential.

You will need to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, maintaining a clean, safe, and secure work environment. Ad-hoc duties may be required during your shift, and you\'ll be expected to understand and contribute to risk assessments and method statements. Completing health and safety hazard reports is also part of the role to help improve standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

You must hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in plumbing, with at least one year of post-apprenticeship experience. Proven experience in mechanical and/or multi-disciplinary maintenance is required, along with a strong understanding of health and safety measures. You should be able to work independently and deliver high-quality service, with good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and customer awareness. Competent IT skills, including the use of a PDA, are also essential. A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development through Mitie\'s training initiatives is expected.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable. An understanding of Legionella risk assessments and control measures, such as flushing systems and de-scaling tap inserts and showers, is beneficial. A willingness to develop skills in other areas of building services is also valued, skills such as ‘basic carpentry skills, hanging doors etc are desirable.
