Location: Campsfield IRC

Working hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (40 hours per week)

Campsfield Immigration Centre is the UK’s newly refurbished, first all-electric immigration removal centre, managed on behalf of the Home Office by Mitie Care and Custody.

Job Overview

We are seeking proactive and experienced individuals who will be responsible for managing the administrative processes within the People Hub, ensuring that colleagues working within the centre are supported through training, rostering and all operational Human Resource processes. They will also support workforce planning activity, to ensure we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time. The role holder will play an integral part in the recruitment process, supporting assessment centres for Detention Custody Officers, in conjunction with operational managers and the training team. The role will report into the People Hub Manager and is part of a small team of administration staff.

Main Duties

As a People Hub Coordinator, you will provide high-level administrative support, manage confidential information with discretion and act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders. The job holder will be required to deliver the transactional activity associated with the People Hub, including:

  • Training / Learning & Development
  • Attendance Management
  • Rostering
  • Payroll, including overtime and sickness payments
  • Staff availability
  • Work Life Balance
  • HR – Entry & Exit Processes
  • Probation and Mi review markings
  • Apprenticeship requests
  • Operational Staff Leave
  • Employee Relations

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills, is able to balance attention to detail with an understanding of wider operational priorities. You should have the confidence of using Microsoft Excel and strong general IT skills. It would be an advantage, though not essential, to have experience with rostering tools and HR processes.

Eligibility Criteria

Must be a British citizen, EU citizen with settled status, or hold Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) from a Commonwealth country. Resided in the UK for at least the past three years, with limited travel outside the UK. No significant criminal record, bankruptcy history, or adverse social media activity.
