ROLE: Trainee Asbestos Consultant

HOURS: 40 hours per week

LOCATION: Hastings

We're looking for a Trainee Asbestos Consultant who will develop the necessary skills, experience and qualifications to carry out asbestos consultancy services across a range of activities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Developing relevant site experience, first through shadowing activities, and then by acting as a second person on site.
  • Gaining relevant asbestos qualifications and gaining and maintaining skill sets on the asbestos skills matrix.
  • Developing experience and eventual sign-off to conduct asbestos surveys, bulk sampling and assessment, statutory re-inspection, airborne fibre monitoring, fibre counting and clearance works, as applicable.
  • Beginning to develop skills and experience to conduct high-level consultancy, including client advice on managing asbestos in estates and properties.
  • Gaining and maintaining knowledge of all current asbestos, health and safety and CDM regulations, ensuring all asbestos-related work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and associated documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude with effective time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with flexibility and responsiveness to work requests.
  • Full UK driving licence is required.
