Job Overview: Retail Security Officer role to protect the Waitrose store, its people, and/or assets by providing security and excellent customer service through Mitie and Waitrose key values. £15.64 per hour payrate alongside numerous Mitie benefits including Save As You Earn, Share Incentive Plan, Cycle to Work, Life Assurance, and Childcare Vouchers. Full and extensive training will be provided including MAYBO and key focus on customer service. Company funded SIA licence renewal. Fully supported by the NOC and be provided with technology such as body worn camera and incident reporting device. Delivering results that meet and/or exceed the expectations of Mitie and Waitrose by using all technology provided and following ASCONE guidance.

Main Duties:
Operations- Ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Fully engage with the National Operations Centre (NOC) and Mitie management and use all technology provided, including body cams and mobile devices for incident reporting.
- Complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
- Proactively review the Assignment Instructions and suggest amendments to improve service.
- Maintain required front‑line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision, worn at all times.
- Work in a systematic, methodological, and orderly manner.
- Ensure check calls are carried out at the scheduled time as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
- Complete all required competency training.
- Undertake training to ensure continuous self‑development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through continual professional development.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
