The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
To manage the day to day operational requirements of the contract in line with customer and contractual expectations. To be the initial contact on operational security matters, ensuring a consistent quality service delivery and prompt responses to all incidents. To operate in a response officer capacity to support incidents of fire, security, environmental and medical at a busy production plant.
Main Duties
- Medical emergency response – responding to requests, 1st aid medical treatment on scene, escalation to and liaising with external services, accident forms and report writing.
- Accident report writing, medical reports, medical log, transfer requests from OHD to/from hospital.
- Responding to spillages that may have a contamination impact to the environment – oil, paint, solvents, petrol/diesel etc - contain, clean up, escalation, report BA trained, use of gas detection equipment, PPE, spill kits, vetta drainage inflation equipment.
- Flood response – pumping, creation of dams, clean up, reporting.
- Carry out operational audits of site equipment and paperwork.
- Plan and participate in on-site training as per training programme.
- Act as a key contact for all daily operational security matters across the plant.
- Be responsible for all security activities & standards of all security personnel, and ensure that all incidents are managed and responded to in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.
- Provide a highly visible security presence on and around the site.
- Operate internal and external patrols.
- Provide car park patrols and apply restrictions as required.
- Respond to emergencies immediately and request for assistance where required.
- Reporting instances on and around the site.
- Operate search policy as per instructed by BMW.
- Carry out initial investigations and report writing on incidents, accidents, damage, suspicious activities and parking.
- Perform as instructed locking and unlocking duties.
- Ensure that all Policies and Procedures for BMW and Mitie are followed.
- Ensure that the security teams are briefed on events or changes in procedures that have been implemented or are due to be introduced.
What we are looking for
- A Level or equivalent in English & Maths preferred.
- NEBOSH or IOSH preferred.
- FREC 3 or FAAW as a minimum.
- Full and current driving license. License to be checked prior to driving company vehicles.
- Physically fit to pass a site related medical.
- Clean shaven for (B/A) Breathing Apparatus Wear.
- Excellent communication skills are essential – report writing, 1-2-1 dialogues, radio communications, log book entries.
