Campsfield Immigration Removal Centre (IRC) is expanding its workforce whilst operating as a newly opened centre. We are looking for respectful, diligent and caring colleagues to join our growing team.

We are looking for an organised, professional and proactive Business Management Co-ordinator to support the Centre Director and Senior Leadership Team. This is a varied role requiring excellent communication and administrative skills to ensure the smooth running of the office, wider team and Home Office officials.

Job Overview

Main Duties

  • Provide administrative and organisational support to the centre's senior leaders, ensuring tasks and projects are delivered efficiently.
  • Co-ordinate the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on behalf of the Centre Director and Deputy Director, ensuring effective communication, scheduling and follow-up on key actions.
  • Manage diaries, appointments, meetings, travel and accommodation.
  • Screen communications, respond to routine enquiries and draft correspondence.
  • Prepare, format and distribute documents, reports and meeting minutes.
  • Maintain accurate manual and digital records, ensuring information is accessible and up to date.
  • Greet and support visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience.
  • Manage office administration including post, supplies and financial processes such as invoicing.
  • Support wider administrative activities across the Centre, including communications and events.
  • Handle complaints in a timely, professional manner, ensuring issues are logged, investigated and resolved appropriately.
What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. You will bring previous experience as an administrator, personal assistant or secretary, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and use of SharePoint. Strong attention to detail and high standards of written communication are essential, along with the confidence to engage with senior managers, partners and external stakeholders. Above all, you will demonstrate a professional, discreet, confidential and adaptable approach to your work.

Specific Requirements

  • You must be a British Citizen, EU citizen with settled status, or have an ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) from a Commonwealth country.
  • Bankruptcy history, CCJs, social media activity and criminal convictions will be closely scrutinised.
  • You must have lived in the UK for the past three years with no significant footprint outside of the UK other than for normal holidays.
